Formation Apostolate
The Formation Apostolate oversees the Christian Discipleship Formation Program to ensure the spiritual growth of community members for service in the BLD Covenant Community and in the larger church.
“All scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, so that everyone who belongs to God may be proficient, equipped for every good work.” (2Tim 3:16-17)

The Formation Apostolate consists of the following:
Teaching Ministry
“So faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the word of Christ.” (Rom 10:17)
“A disciple is not above the teacher, but everyone who is fully qualified will be like the teacher.” (Lk 6:40)
The Teaching Ministry trains and evaluates community instructors and teachers who are assigned to deliver the teaching modules to community members in accordance with the Christian Discipleship Formation Program developed by the BLD Covenant Community. The Ministry is also tasked to facilitate and implement the Teaching Program for the District.

Discipling Ministry
“Follow me and I will make you fish for people.” (Mt 4:19)
The Discipling Ministry, in coordination with other ministries, monitors and tracks the growth of community members who are going through the process of discernment to become Committed Disciples and, eventually, to become Covenanted Disciples.

Intercessory Ministry
“For where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them.” (Mt 18:20)
“Ask, and it will be given to you; search, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened for you.” (Mt 7:7)
The Intercessory Ministry develops prayer warriors who provide continuous intercessory prayers in prayer assemblies, Encounter programs, Life in the Spirit Seminars and in their personal and family lives.

Witness & Coach Development Ministry
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1:8)
The Witness & Coach Development Ministry trains and develops witnesses and sharers for deployment to the Encounter programs and the Life in the Spirit Seminars, and provide coaches to said witnesses and sharers.
