Malolos – Thank you letter

Dear community,

The Malolos extend their profound gratitude for the overwhelming love shown after Philip’s passing. Your presence, prayers, and generosity provided immense comfort. They are very grateful and touched for all the support from many, such as the St. Martin de Porres group, the BLD community, and many others who offered tributes. Though we cannot thank everyone individually, your support remains a cherished lifeline.

Support Guide

In response to a request raised during one of our Disciples meeting. The BLD has prepared this summary of free and confidential support available to help our members navigate the practical, legal, and emotional challenges that can follow the loss of a loved one.

This brief guide highlights no‐cost or low‐cost services in Toronto that BLD members can refer to on for both:

(1) clear steps to take after the passing of a spouse—including estate administration and access to brief legal advice—and

(2) counselling and grief‐support options. A quick ‘how to use’ notes and direct source links are included to make it easy for anyone to find the help they need.

Remote access to Corporate P&W

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

In response to the challenging situation of some BLD members who have difficulty driving to attend the in-person corporate Praise and Worship because of age, sickness and are caregivers of sick family members, the District Council of Stewards of Toronto has approved the various recommendations to exempt them from the attendance for the community’s weekly Corporate Worship.

Please read the entire policy.  The Zoom application form can be downloaded here.
