FROM THE SOLO PARENTS MINISTRY
We praise and thank the Lord for a spirit-led SPE#16 Encounter Weekend. The successful program was made possible by God’s healing grace, the prayers and powerful intercession for candidates, the support of the BLD community, the energetic service provided by the auxiliaries and the impassioned talks and homilies delivered by Fr. Matthias.
Our sincere gratitude to Fr. Matthias Yaw Kotoka Amuzu, the Pastoral Team, the different Ministries and their respective DCSs, DLCs, and members who assisted us throughout the preparation and the actual conduct of the Encounter Weekend.
To the 16 graduates of SPE # 16, WELCOME TO THE BLD FAMILY!
To God be the glory, honor and power forever and ever!

FROM THE MISSION MINISTRY

Life — we stand on guard for thee!
This year marks the 20th National March for Life in Ottawa and the 150th anniversary of Canada’s confederation. This year's theme is "LIFE - We stand on guard for thee."
Pro-lifers will gather on Parliament Hill to demand that our laws once again uphold the right to life which is inherent to every human being, as they once did, even 150 years ago. The March for Life is the largest annual demonstration on Parliament Hill, and a sign that ending abortion is the civil rights movement of our day.
As Christian, we should be deeply concerned, it is our moral obligation to oppose these injustices. Let us make the trip to Ottawa on Thursday, May 11, 2017 and together voice our opposition to these evils. Please join us, a bus will pick up at SFX Mississauga at 6:00am and leave (OLA) Our Lady of the Assumption Church at 6:40am on Thurs., May 11, and return later that evening. The cost of a seat on the bus is $30.00/person.
